“America could use a neighbor just like you.”
That Redfin line lingered. Because in a Super Bowl that could’ve gone full spectacle, a surprising number of brands chose something quieter.…

You know the posts. “I’m so honored to…” “So grateful to share the stage with…” “Incredible leaders in the room…” Cool. Mazel.

Cool. Mazel.
But this isn’t for the people in the blazer, holding a mic, smiling next to the sponsor wall.
This is for the people who don’t make the photo. No badge. No panel. No tagged LinkedIn moment.
Let’s begin.
🍺 This is for you, Mr. Open-Our-Door. You appeared out of nowhere, grabbed my bag, and now I feel rich for no reason.
🍺 This is for you, Mr. Keep-the-Planes-Apart. Air traffic control. Just casually preventing sky bumper cars while we scream about boarding groups.
🍺 This is for you, Ms. I’ll-Be-Right-With-You. Waitstaff who can smell hunger, entitlement, and bad tipping energy from across the room.
🍺 This is for you, Ms. Reset-the-Room. Housekeeping. You walked into a situation that required gloves, bravery, and prayer.
🍺 This is for you, Mr. Shortcut-You-Don’t-Know-About. Shuttle driver. You know a way around traffic and you absolutely hate when we talk.
🍺 This is for you, Ms. Nothing-Good-Happens-After-Midnight. Night auditor. You’ve broken up fights, found pants in the lobby, and asked zero follow-up questions.
🍺 This is for you, Mr. No-One-Sees-Me-But-Everyone-Eats. Line cook. Sweating in the back so someone can say “we didn’t even need a menu.”
🍺 This is for you, Ms. We’re-Boarding-by-Zone-for-a-Reason. Gate agent. You said “zones matter” and meant it spiritually.
🍺 This is for you, Mr. I-Fix-Things-You-Can’t-Explain. Maintenance. You fixed the noise. It was not the noise we described.
🍺 This is for you, Ms. Just-Hand-Me-the-Keys. Valet. You trust strangers who say “it’s basically new” and that’s bravery.
🍺 And this is for you, Mr. and Ms. Make-It-Work. The fixers. The calmers. The ones who say “it’s fine” when it absolutely was not.
Hospitality is, at its core, problem solving in a name tag.
If no one claps for you but everything breaks the second you call in sick
You’re not behind the scenes. You are the whole damn industry.
And let’s be clear. Tourism isn’t powered by slogans or strategy decks. It’s powered by economics. Wages. Tips. Shift work.
People showing up because rent is due, groceries cost more, and missing a shift actually matters. This industry doesn’t run on applause. It runs on paychecks, hours, and the quiet math of “can I afford to keep doing this.” Forget that, and everything you market eventually breaks.
