Ya know, most of what you see on LinkedIn is the sanitized highlight reel of people smiling in conference selfies, standing by booths that barely paid for themselves, sharing campaigns they weren’t brave enough to fight for but safe enough to publish.

That’s not where the real work happens.

The real work? Happens off-camera. In the middle of the night. Right after the ego death. Right before the great idea finally screams, “Let me out.”

You’re not blocked. You’re pregnant with the idea you keep avoiding because it will demand too much from you.

That new positioning you almost pitched. That content idea that’s “too raw.” That marketing truth you keep choking back because you’re afraid it’ll make someone uncomfortable.

Here’s the thing: Brilliance doesn’t arrive clean. It shows up in sweats with greasy hair and says, “Clear your schedule.”

You’ll puke before you pitch it. You’ll lose sleep before it lands. And when it finally makes its debut? No one will see the 97 rejections, the internal sabotage, the moment you almost quit.

They’ll see the LinkedIn post. The smiling face. The clean stats. The “So proud of this team!” caption.

And if you’re not careful, you’ll start believing that’s what success looks like.

You’ll keep trying to copy outcomes instead of enduring your own process.

So here’s your super quick takeaway:

Stop aiming for the polished birth announcement. Start pushing the idea that scares you.

Don’t post it. Build it. Don’t ask for approval. Back yourself. Don’t wait until someone else goes first. You’re already late.

If your big idea is kicking, it’s time. You’re pregnant with power. And the only way out is through.

Now breathe. And push.
